Her research interests include qualitative and quantitative studies examining process and outcome variables contributing to client satisfaction with therapy, the application of narrative therapy ideas and practices, various issues related to clinical supervision, and working with transgender issues and clients. Dr. Herget is a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. She maintains a private practice in San Francisco, where she provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families with diverse backgrounds and problems. She also offers individual and group consultation to psychotherapists in the community.
