Expertise: Very broadly, I am interested in the associations among work, family, and gender across the lifespan. This has led to two lines of research. First, my research focuses on the positive and negative associations between work and family, including the role of work-family conflict on employee and family health. Second, my research focuses on the role of family and gender in occupational choices, which includes research examining women’s and men’s pursuit of gender atypical careers.
