Loren’s postdoctoral research focuses on developing, evaluating and implementing a range of clinically-relevant cognitive and psychosocial interventions for older adults at risk of developing dementia (e.g. with Mild Cognitive Impairment or late-life depression), or with mild or early-stage dementia. Outcomes of her research include changes in cognition, neurobiological markers, psychological wellbeing, psychosocial engagement, self-efficacy and carer impact.
Loren also has a special interest in promoting the clinical implementation of cognitive interventions within the field of neuropsychology. She is currently Co-chair of a national working party to develop a position paper on this issue for the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists, as well as convenor of a Sydney-based special interest group in this area.
