My two main areas of research relate to alternative criminal justice policies and practices (mediation and restorative justice) as well as the analysis of the relationships between the administration of criminal justice and First Nations and Inuit in Quebec. . Current projects concern First Nations & Inuit governance in the socio-penal sector, violence against Aboriginal women, specialized courts and the reconstruction of social regulation in Aboriginal communities. An intervention project, designed in 2011 and oriented towards the reconstruction of social regulation in the Inuit communities of Nunavik, is being implemented in three communities. This project is the subject of participatory research. In addition to these activities,I am involved in training and supporting the development of alternative practices with alternative justice organizations in Quebec.
