The University of Alabama (Alabama Transportation Institute (“ATI”)) seeks one (1) Research Economist for its Tuscaloosa, Alabama location.  Requirements for this position are a Master’s Degree in a transportation related field such as Business Administration/Management, Economics, Public Policy, Public Administration, or Statistics, and one (1) year of relevant experience; Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and presentation skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Demonstrated abilities to apply qualitative and/or quantitative, analytical, and methodological approaches; Working knowledge of econometric modeling; Demonstrated ability to participate in interdisciplinary research; Working knowledge of emerging issues across modes and areas of transportation, including finance, freight, mobility, safety, technology, and transportation data; Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously and meet schedules, deadlines, and constraints; Ability to adapt to changing environment and adept at problem-solving.  Visit UA’s staff employment website at jobs.ua.edu for more information and to apply.
