Visiting Assistant Professor - Sociology

The Department of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor. We are seeking a candidate with strong evidence of teaching effectiveness and ability to teach Introduction to Sociology from a social justice perspective. We are particularly interested in scholars who are committed to an intersectional approach and who can connect their teaching to local communities in the Greater Lowell area. The teaching load is 3/3 with expectation of service related to community engagement and/or advising. The appointment is scheduled to begin September 1, 2024.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- PhD in Sociology or related field by September 1, 2024.
