The Department of Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Criminology and/or Medical Sociology to begin August 1, 2025. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure-eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. In addition to undergraduate courses in these fields, the successful candidate may be asked to teach other undergraduate Sociology courses. The typical teaching assignment for this position will be the equivalent of eight undergraduate courses each year. The successful candidate must provide evidence of teaching excellence.
A PhD in Sociology, Criminal Justice, or related field is required by August 1, 2025.
