The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS), through a partnership with the US Department of Defense (DoD) and the US Department of Agriculture - National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA/NIFA), is seeking candidates for the position of Research Associate/Research Fellow to support the work of Military REACH www.MilitaryREACH.org.

Military REACH provides high-quality resources to the DoD’s Office of Military Community and Family Policy in the form of research reports and professional development tools across the spectrum of family support, readiness, and resilience.

In collaboration with the larger research team, this individual will assist in the summarizing and synthesizing of family science research for target audiences. Those target audiences primarily include policymakers and direct services helping professionals. This position requires the candidate to have advanced research literacy and considerable writing experience, such that they must be able to interpret statistical models, critically evaluate individual studies and bodies of literature, and translate research into everyday language to explain scientific findings to audiences without a research background.
