Assistant Professor – Community Planning (Auburn, AL): The Department of Political Science at Auburn University seeks an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in its community planning program. Primary teaching responsibility is in the Master of Community Planning program within the Political Science Department. Responsibilities of the appointment include teaching (40%), research in the field of community planning (50%), outreach and service to the department, college, and university (10%).
Minimum Qualifications
Requires: (1) Ph.D. in Community Planning or a related field (ABD will be considered); and (2) Ability to teach core and elective undergraduate courses in planning as demonstrated by strong research and instructional skills, excellent written and verbal English communication skills, and strong content and methodological knowledge related to urban design and physical planning, including graphics/ visualization techniques.
