The Department of Psychology at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position within our APA-accredited Counseling Psychology Program, beginning Fall 2023. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong research program and a record of applying for and receiving extramural funding. The specific areas of research for this faculty position are open. However, preference will be given to candidates with research complementing the program's Child & Family cluster or Sports Psychology cluster as well as research areas in vocational/career development, challenges and adjustments for gender and sexual minority populations, substance use/abuse & treatments, and/or social justice & activism.  Faculty responsibilities include developing and maintaining an active research program, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, seeking research grants, advising and mentoring doctoral students, and sharing service duties.
