The Department of Psychology at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applications for a tenure-track Faculty and Director of Training, Counseling Psychology and Psychological Science position at the rank of Associate Professor in Counseling and Clinical Psychology with an appointment date of August 2025.

Interested applicants must apply by submitting a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement about leadership record and style, research statement, and statement describing DEISJ record and goals. Letters of reference will be required only of semifinalists. Application materials of semifinalist candidates, including letters of reference, will be made available for review by the entire faculty of the Department of Psychology.  

Required qualifications: The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, APA-approved, CPA-approved or substantially-equivalently approved internship, and tenure as an Associate or Full Professor at an accredited institution. Candidates must also have a record of leadership relevant to the position; current license to practice psychology in Colorado or eligibility to apply for or transfer the license to Colorado by the date of employment; an active research program; a sustained record of research publications; a sustained record of external research funding; and a record of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

Preferred qualifications: Priority may be given to candidates with one or more of the following preferred qualifications: (1) A publication record as first or senior author in primarily top-tier journals; (2) A record of advising and mentoring graduate student research; (3) A record of supervision of students/interns/ residents’ counseling/clinical work; and (4) Evidence of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice (DEISJ) leadership in research, practice and/or service, consistent with CSU institutional values and goals.
