The School of Social Sciences is looking for a candidate to join as a Project Officer to carry out research and experiments on a project on language, emotion and trust. The key role is to assist the research team in planning, executing and compiling research findings on studies to isolate language and communication cues in messages and exploring their impact on trust. Findings from this research project will facilitate the development of AI-based applications aiming to gain a better understanding, perception, and judgment of trustworthiness.
Key Responsibilities:

Collect and manage both written and speech data from various data sources, like news, social media etc.

Conduct analysis and write up research findings

Coordinate research team and carry out relevant research administration

Collaborate with other researchers in a multi-disciplinary team, while work independently on given tasks

Contribute to academic research in the relevant domains and publish high-tier papers
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, Psychology or in a field relevant to the job scope
